Job summary

The Assistant Operations Manager will have responsibility of supporting the Partner Marketing Team in China. The position reports directly to the Director of Partner Marketing and will be based in Shanghai and to work closely with the Partner Relationship Managers there. This person will also work closely across different departments within Agoda; both in the Partner Marketing department, as well as across other departments in Agoda – e.g. customer experience group, partner services team, etc. This role will provide end to end exposure in working together and managing our partners in China. The candidate will have the challenge of owning projects end to end to help drive growth in the China market. The projects will range from operational improvements and execution, to light technical know how, as well as finance and P&L exposure. It offers incredible visibility in working directly with our partners. From supporting onboarding of the partners to managing and optimizing their accounts, and looking at different areas to support growth. This position is based in Shanghai.

Job description

  • Actively support Partner Relationship Managers in China – from onboarding to implementation, payments and follow up account management
  • Help drive revenue for Agoda through close management of key accounts
  • Manage and co-ordinate across multiple stakeholders in China as well as Bangkok – from liaising with Partner services team to working with Customer experience group to manage daily performance
  • Implementation of recommendations and projects
  • Work internally across all of Partner Marketing and externally with other departments in Agoda to ensure seamless implementation of projects
  • Basic analysis and monitoring of market performance, trends and the competition to formulate actionable insights and understand business drivers

Job qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in business, marketing or other relevant field
  • Minimum 1 year experience in business development, strategy or project management
  • Analytical, numerical and problem solving skills; understands and utilizes data and metrics relevant to role
  • Understanding of web-related technologies, and the technical aspects of affiliate distribution models considered a plus
  • Experience with digital strategy, mobile apps, affiliates and affiliate networks an advantage
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin) both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
